Lanthano Institute is an independent research institute designed to function like a university-based research center, without being bound to a single campus.
Modeled on interdisciplinary centers commonly housed at large research universities, Lanthano Institute brings together scholars, practitioners, and institutions to pursue rigorous, values-centered research and applied inquiry. We provide the infrastructure, coordination, and intellectual community that many smaller and mid-sized universities lack the capacity to sustain on their own.
Rather than replacing university research, Lanthano extends it.
What We Do
Many universities, particularly teaching-focused, regional, faith-based, or mid-sized institutions, have talented scholars and meaningful research agendas, but limited access to:
